I’m proud to be serving the community in various capacities since my early teens. Having a background in community health work enables me to look at every individual I come across holistically. With that said, I value mental, social, and physical health. I also believe everyone has the right to equity across all boards regardless of one’s ethnic background, socioeconomic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, mental state, and physical ability. As a former youth commissioner and public servant on the Sacramento Youth Commission, I served to advocate for the voices of youth in Sacramento. During my term, I was exposed to local government and its operations. I was introduced to the Sacramento Youth Alliance as a youth and only grew more passionate to serve underserved communities. It was then when I realized how powerful the youth’s voices are. I now also serve as a member on Alliance for Education Solutions’ Street Team and aspire to create a positive impact in young people’s lives. Along with my current community engagement, I am a member of Senator Dr. Richard Pan’s Community Advisory Committee. As a young adult, I strive to bridge the gap between youth and adults through mentorship, compassion, and understanding.
