A former researcher and policy analyst with an eye for detail, Lisa brings organizational and analytical skills to the AES Board. Her commitment to AES’s mission is evidenced by her length of service and the passion with which she provides leadership and structural support for all AES’s work.
Through 2010 Lisa was a policy analyst with the California Research Bureau (CRB), California State Library, providing nonpartisan policy research to the Legislature, Governor and other state elected officials. For ten years, Lisa prepared reports and other research products on a myriad of human service issues including youth development and youth involvement in policymaking. She was a key member and facilitator of the California Collaborative for Youth Development, a body of state agency and non-profit representatives dedicated to developing programs and opportunities for youth. Prior to the CRB, Lisa spent over twenty years with the California Department of Social Services in policy, program development and program implementation positions related to family, youth and children’s services.
Now retired, Lisa continues her decade-long commitment to the AES mission.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Ecology from the University of California, Irvine, and master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Administration from the California State University, Sacramento.
