Martha Andrade McLemore was born and raised in Mexico and migrated to the US when she was 15. She comes from a large family, including seven brother and one sister. She obtained her Bachelors and Masters in social work at CSU, Chico before becoming a licensed clinical social worker. Martha has been working with underserved families in Butte County for the past 10 years.
Her passion is working with disadvantaged youth and creating positive changes within communities of color. In 2015, she created Latinas in Actions (LIA) which focuses on connecting Latinas through outdoor and wilderness experiences. She is currently a student of CSU, Sacramento getting her certificate in Pupil Personnel Services as an effort to continue learning to better serve the youth she works with.
